Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.We are currently seeking an ambitious person to be part of HSBC Global Banking within the Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) Team who will be responsible for smooth execution of the day-to-day activities of GTRF Services (Core Trade). GTRF is a core product area for the Group across various customer segments, including GBM, CMB, and Private Banking.In this role, you will:• Maintain and improve the delivery of "superior" customer service by actively driving operational performance, (PLA) maximizing, operational efficiency and reducing operational risks).• Act as either Level 2a (approver) Or a L2b Escalation Point for review and investigation of FCC escalations by Level 2a (approver), prior to escalation these to Regional FCC, as delegated by Head of GTRF Services, in line with Global Sanctions Screening Procedures.• Be responsible for resource management and work allocation taking into consideration absenteeism, and utilization of cross trained resources to ensure the Services Team is staffed to meet the strategic objectives of the business.• Facilitate adequate and timely cascading of all procedural changes to avoid noncompliance with agreed polices.• Ensure nil instances of sanction breach and AML (Financial Controls and Compliance).• Proactively identify problems and effectively work to resolve them sharing best practice with other GTRF Teams.• Monitor pending items queue/referral queues to ensure closure on aged items and escalating where appropriate.• Build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.• Operate in an open and transparent way being fully accountable for supporting their business.• Ensure adequate contingency procedures are in place to minimize the impact of partial or total site failure.• Be responsible for related audit points and end of day checks.• Continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.RequirementsTo be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:• Strong experience in Global Trade and Receivables Finance operations• Strong International Trade experience and background required, in depth working knowledge of ICC Publications UCP600, URC522, URDG758, URR725, ISBP and Islamic Finance.• Proven experience of successfully leading teams and ability to manage resources of the team in the most effective way to deliver "superior" customer service meet PLA in the most cost-efficient way.• Ability to maintain control, direction, and motivation in an ever-changing environment.• Experience/knowledge in process re-engineering and production management skills.• Ability to understand and implement Group Risk Management• Excellent English (written and verbal) communication skills.• Graduation degree is a must - to secure a UAE Visa and Work PermitFor further details and application information please visit our careers site, searching under reference number 0000K6SX.You'll achieve more at HSBC.HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
