Dubai, United Arab Emirates Nestled in the city's heart, Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, offers a stunning fusion of modern design with a touch of oriental flair, redefining hospitality standards.With unparalleled views of Dubai's skyline, the iconic Burj Khalifa, and the sparkling Arabian Sea, this urban retreat offers 224 luxury Residences and 259 Rooms & Suites.Going beyond traditional hospitality, Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, it's not just a hotel but a lifestyle destination, offering relaxation, luxury, and memorable experiences.The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible to manage the complete day to day accounting, to lead the complete finance team and finance department and to represent the Director of Finance in his absence.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing the hotel’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingManage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenanceEnsure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and procedures, including tax laws and internal controlsPrepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators to assess the hotel’s financial performance and identify opportunities for improvementCoordinate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts, providing guidance and support as neededSupport internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiriesAssist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and maximize profitabilityFoster a culture of professionalism amongst the team through training, mentoring, and performance managementSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the hospitality industry. Middle East experience and hotel pre-opening experience is an advantageStrong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a hotel settingProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insightsStrong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong leadership abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve excellence.Advertised:
