Qualification

• Certificate in Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Registered Nurse
• Certificate in Caregiver / Nursing Aide / Nursing Assistant
• Age: 23 – 38 years old
• With Elderly or Child Care experience
• Handled patient with attachment (Peg Tube, Catheter Care, Colostomy, NGT & Tracheostomy)

Job Description

• Adheres to all grooming and feeding procedure of the patient.
• Follows care protocols on the attachment of the patient: Peg Tube, Catheter Care, Colostomy, NGT
• Enteral nutrition using PEG, NG feeding tube and medication.
• Administration of oral medication
• Monitoring the quantity of patients’ medication
• Assisting patient on daily activity
• Lifting & Transferring, Ambulation of the patient
• Maintain hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the health care procedures.
• Identifying patient based on the patients’ forms of identification before starting any procedure.
• Fill out necessary forms & consents before initiation of procedures.
• Comprehensively explain to the patient and the family the procedures to be done.
• Applies infection control techniques (e.g. Hand hygiene, Using PPE, Medical waste management etc.)
• Communicating with patient
• Knows the patient’s history (medical and social) and regularly updated on the daily condition of the patient.
• Ensure patients privacy & confidentiality during assessment.
• Inform the patient of his/her rights & responsibilities.
• Inform the family of their rights & responsibilities.
• Regular PAMS of the patient must be filled and checked.
• Filling up of all requisite forms on a timely manner
• Inventory control systems
• Report equipment issues to management
• To perform Maintenance, Quality Check of Glucometer (Shutdown, Restart, cleaning) as applicable
• Maintain equipment and its logs on the patient.
