Our client is a leading professional services company. They operate throughout the globe and have offices in various GCC countries. They are looking to expand the Finance and Accounting team and create a new position for a senior Accounting coordinator who will have a heavy focus on revenue recognition.Based in Dubai, you will support the accounts department with the basic accounting function but in addition you will need to work very closely with Management Consultants to oversee the revenue recognition, contract compliance as well as collectables. This person will be expected to travel to KSA as well as Qatar to build a rapport with clients to ensure a speedy payment process, at times you will need to manage difficult debtors and have a strong enough personality to manage those discussions. In terms of revenue, you may need to share revenues between various international offices as the work is done as an international team effort. You will also be looking at the expenses of projects and making sure the right costings are sent out with the bidding process. You need to help prepare bids, understand expense runs and be highly organized when tracking the different stages of each project. Our client would also like to have someone who has experience in doing the Arabic books for two of its regional offices. This is a translation process, not actual calculations of the books.
To be considered for this role, all candidates must be fluent Arabic speakers due to the amount of client interaction in KSA. All candidates must be willing to travel on a monthly basis. In terms of experience, our client is looking for someone who is mid-stage of their career with 5-7 years experience ideally in professional services, Finance or Legal. You should be used to working in a MNC environment and be comfortable in a fairly fast pace work tempo. You should have a strong enough character to handle clients and the Very senior level Management Consultants but also be very diplomatic and a very good listener. Your aim is to help the team, not catch them out. If you have experience in doing Arabic Accounting books, this will be a big plus. The office hours are from 9-6 however you will need to stay late as and when required to ensure work is done on time. You can be qualified through experience or formally qualified, our client is looking for skill not certificates. Our client only wants people who will go that extra mile and are highly motivated.
