The Research Expert will lead the research and business intelligence team. The Expert will have overall responsibility of undertaking international benchmarks, research and business intelligence assignments, data collection and analysis and drawing insights from the research.

The role will require primary and secondary research across a broad spectrum of industries, countries and data sources and the ability to analyze industry trends and statistical data in order to support the decision making process. Important areas of focus will include the labor market, education, economic development and operations.

 The role is responsible for providing advice on regulatory and policy issues and will work to gather information to develop, support, and implement new policies with the ultimate goal of meeting organizational objectives, meeting a standard of excellence, and fueling innovation.

Responsibilities

Leads a team of researchers to provide robust analysis of current practices and potential solutions taking into account risks and mitigations, which will improve performance.

Supports the information and benchmarking needs of the executive team.

Coordinates and consolidates information around operational evaluations, policy challenges, economic development trends and preparing presentations and related collateral that supports higher level policy decision making.

Manages Stakeholder Advisory Board.

Delivers a research and development strategy that is consistent with the overall business strategy and provides recommendations on solutions which enable the business to deliver the best possible service to customers and stakeholders.

Maintains knowledge of innovative practice in welfare and employability through literature and journal reviews, and continuous market monitoring.

Develops and maintains a positive and strong relationship with community organizations, business community, non-profit organizations, government agencies, data providers and other relevant stakeholders as a representative of the organization/department.

Knowledge

  • Minimum bachelors’ degree. Preferably a Masters degree.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding powerpoint skills with a strong ability to create high quality powerpoint presentations for the executive leadership.
  • Ability to read and interpret data, evaluate sources and find information online.
  • Self motivated with a very high attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong ethical approach

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years + of work experience as a researcher
  • Worked in a research role for a global consulting firm (McKinsey, BGC, Strategy&, etc.)
  • At least 5 years experience with broad based and generalist research skills across multiple domains.
