We have a vacancy with a major oil and gas client in Dubai, UAE for CMMS E & I Specialist

Job Purpose: The CMMS E&I Specialist will be responsible for maintaining data in Oracle to support the total Maintenance effort, with a focus on Planned Maintenance and the Plant Register.

Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities):

  • Creation and modification of Maintenance Plans in Oracle, including data transport preparation and scheduling.
  • Maintenance of Asset Register data for all Onshore assets, ensuring accuracy in plant hierarchy and linkage.
  • Collaboration with Project Engineers for equipment assignment and removal in Oracle, in line with ECAF process.
  • Review and update of P&IDs, SLDs, and Layouts in Oracle Asset Register.
  • Maintenance and publication of Set Points Registers in Oracle.
  • Update of Bill of Materials linked to Planned Preventative Maintenance based on approved requests.
  • Creation and linkage of New Maintenance Activities in Oracle, including interaction with Finance Team for WIP codes.
  • Update of Equipment Locations in Oracle Asset Register.
  • Administration of Oracle-based Work Order Deferment System, ensuring regular updates to relevant disciplines.
  • Provision of support to onshore planning teams in the use of Asset Register and Planned Maintenance system.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job-Related Competencies:

Educational Qualifications: High National Certificate or Diploma (HNC or HND) or equivalent.

Experience Profile:

  • Strong experience in Oil and Gas operating companies within the Maintenance Department.
  • Prior CMMS experience, preferably with Oracle Enterprise Assets Management (EAM).
  • In-depth understanding of electrical and instrument equipment in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Working knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings (P&ID, SLD, Layout).
  • Understanding of Equipment Criticality Assessment, Safety Critical Equipment (SCE), and Performance Standards.
  • Experience with process optimization and improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Risk, Criticality, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Continuous Improvement Processes.
  • Proficiency in Maintenance Change Request processes.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment, with self-directed and highly motivated work ethic.
