Responsibilities• Explains the test procedure to the patient to obtain the patient s cooperation necessary for a complete examination.• Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner, according to the International 10-20 System. Ensure that electrode impedance meets laboratory standards.• Performs EEG records according to the standards and protocols of the laboratory (routine, sleep, and bedside).• Performs long-term video monitoring EEG in the epilepsy monitoring unit• Implements alternative methods or adjusts controls of the machine to obtain the optimal recording.• Distinguishes between normal and abnormal test results describes and annotates all manifestations and changes observed during tests.
