The Senior Expert, Innovation and Technology plays a key role in shaping the future of education in our schools. This position entails designing, delivering and monitoring advanced professional learning and development for school leaders, teachers, and students and supporting the coordination and enhancement of student competitions in all facets of technology especially in Computer Science.The Senior Expert will be instrumental in promoting Digital Transformation across all RAK private education institutes. They will be responsible for the schools in developing and executing their digital learning and transformation strategies. This includes identifying and facilitating the professional development of the school’s leadership and teachers in key technology areas. Responsibilities; • Lead the enhancement and modernization of training programs focusing on boosting innovation and professional learning opportunities within the private education institutions. • Provide guidance to identified technology leaders in schools to strengthen and adapt their digital transformation strategy and increase the effective use of technology within the classroom • Expand the collection of teacher and leader training needs through a training needs assessment, including and analysis of the schools’ Self Evaluation Form (SEF) and School Improvement Plan (SIP)• Design, refine, and personally deliver leader and teacher training across groups of schools, and individual groups as required, based on topics agreed upon to advance innovation and digital fluency thereby improving student learning • Mentor technology leads and members of Senior Leaders and Middle Leadership teams on integrating instructional strategies with the evolving curriculum to positively affect student outcomes. • Gather, systematize, and disseminate best technology integration practices globally, and explore how these can be integrated within RAK private schools. This may involve conducting action research, focusing on innovative knowledge-sharing and celebrating excellence in schools, leaders, teachers, and other school professionals. • Coordinate and develop student competitions and programs to enhance student learning and skill development in technology and innovation, including creating after-school programs. • Oversee and report technology projects and initiatives across all private schools to RAK DOK in a timely and appropriate manner. • Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate measures to evaluate program success using tests, surveys, and questionnaires. • Stay abreast of and apply the latest best practices in training programs. • A significant component of this position is to design and deliver teacher training in the areas of identified technology needs. • Design and implement a benchmark assessment that can be administered across schools in Ras Al Khaimah to measure the skills, knowledge and understanding of technology. • Supporting student programs with a focus on technologyRequirements;• A Master's degree is required, preferably in IT, Computer Science, or relevant Education technology field.• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and delivering high-impact technology training in an educational context, preferably K-12 private schools, including evidence of impact• Project management skills with the ability to lead and innovate in digital projects effectively especially in education technology and curriculum development. • Excellent organizational skills, adept at handling multiple projects concurrently and meeting stringent deadlines. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members, education institutions, technology leaders, and other stakeholders• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI), with added emphasis on integrating these tools into educational settings. • Increased flexibility to adapt to new technologies, tools, education and industry trends, and curricula changes. • Comprehensive technology skills, with a willingness to continuously evolve and master new software programs relevant to education technology. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI), with added emphasis on integrating these tools into educational settings. • Proficient in at least one modern programming skills (e.g., Python) with a focus on educational applications and Computer Science education. • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), essential for effective leadership in training and knowledge dissemination. • Adaptive and responsive to evolving educational landscapes and technology advancements. • Proactive and solution-focused, particularly in digital transformation and curriculum enhancement. • Team player who can efficiently operate under pressure, especially in fast-paced educational environments. • Keen attention to detail, particularly in evaluating educational technologies and curriculum standards. • Strong leadership communication skills; able to effectively guide training initiatives and communicate digital transformation strategies both orally and in writing.
