Data Entry Accountant at Unique Wholesale and Distributions Limited

Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Accountant to accurately record, process, and maintain financial transactions and accounting data. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical accuracy, familiarity with basic accounting principles, and experience working with accounting or ERP software. Exposure to platforms such as Shopify, Odoo, or similar systems is a plus but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
Enter financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries) into the accounting system accurately and in a timely mannerReconcile data entries against source documents (invoices, bank statements, purchase orders)Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and databasesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable entriesAssist with month-end and year-end closing proceduresVerify and correct discrepancies in financial dataPrepare basic financial reports and summaries as requiredMaintain confidentiality of financial informationSupport the finance team with administrative and clerical accounting tasksEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting standardsAssist in maintaining product/inventory-related financial data (e.g., syncing sales data from e-commerce platforms) where applicableRequirementsEducation Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldExperience 1–3 years of experience in data entry, bookkeeping, or an accounting support roleExperience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar) requiredExperience with ERP systems such as Odoo, Shopify, or similar platforms is preferred but not essentialSkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, reconciliations)Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables a plus)Fast and accurate typing/data entry skillsGood organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesGood communication skillsPreferred QualificationsHands-on experience with Odoo (accounting, inventory, or sales modules)Familiarity with Shopify order/sales data and how it feeds into accounting recordsExposure to multi-currency or multi-entity accounting environmentsKey AttributesReliable, honest, and trustworthy in handling financial dataMethodical and process-driven Comfortable learning new software systems quickly Pay: AED3,000.00
