In this role, you will help review cryptographic configurations, monitor certificate lifecycles, document encryption requirements, and assist with identifying weaknesses in how sensitive information is protected. You will collaborate with security engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to support secure data handling and maintain strong cryptographic practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with reviewing encryption configurations across applications, servers, and cloud environments.

Support the inventory and tracking of digital certificates and their expiration dates.

Help identify outdated or weak cryptographic protocols and configurations.

Assist with reviewing TLS configurations and certificate deployment practices.

Maintain documentation covering encryption requirements and cryptographic standards.

Support assessments of data encryption at rest and in transit.

Help investigate certificate-related security alerts and configuration issues.

Collaborate with technical teams to track remediation of identified weaknesses.

Assist with reviewing key management procedures and access restrictions.

Support compliance reviews involving encryption and data protection requirements.

Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate records of assessment findings.

Escalate potential cryptographic risks to senior security personnel.

RequirementsDiploma or bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent practical knowledge may be considered.

Basic understanding of encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and public-key cryptography.

Familiarity with fundamental networking and information security concepts.

Awareness of TLS, digital certificates, and secure communication protocols.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good technical documentation and communication abilities.

High attention to detail and responsible handling of sensitive information.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred

SkillsFamiliarity with certificate authorities and public key infrastructure (PKI).Basic knowledge of OpenSSL and certificate inspection.

Awareness of RSA, elliptic-curve cryptography, and modern symmetric encryption concepts.

Familiarity with certificate lifecycle management and TLS configuration checks.

Basic knowledge of cloud key management services. Introductory scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Relevant cybersecurity certifications, university projects, or practical security labs are an advantage.
