Foundry is looking for a Senior Lighting Designer to join our Dubai studio.
We are lighting design consultants with studios in London and Dubai, delivering award-winning schemes for clients across the globe for more than a decade. Our work spans hospitality, residential, workplace, retail, and masterplanning. THE ROLEYou will lead the design and delivery of lighting projects from concept through to completion, across a range of sectors and stages.
You will be the day-to-day point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
You will be accountable for the quality, accuracy, and coordination of project deliverables, and for delivery in line with the agreed scope, programme, and fee.
Work closely with the senior team, and lead project teams, supporting the development of Designers and Junior Designers. WHAT YOU WILL DOLead projects from concept through to completionDevelop concepts that answer the architectural and interior vision alongside the technical, operational, and commercial requirementsManage programme, deliverables, and resource against the agreed fee, raising risk earlyRun project meetings, workshops, site visits, mock-ups, and commissioningProduce and oversee layouts, specifications, schedules, calculations, reports, and presentation materialCoordinate lighting information with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, contractors, and suppliersReview the work of Designers and Junior Designers, and support their developmentFollow and promote our QA and QC proceduresContribute to client relationships, and the growth of the studioWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORFive or more years in lighting consultancy, with projects delivered to siteCommand of the technical: standards, guidelines, and current lighting technologyA record of managing scope, programme, and resource to an agreed feeRevit and BIM fluency, alongside AutoCAD, Dialux, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft OfficeExperience reviewing others' information and developing less experienced designersCPD and active engagement with the industry and with manufacturersWHAT
