Role Description The DevOps Engineer role at Cretik is a full-time, on-site position based in Sharjah. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery across multiple projects.
Daily tasks include managing Linux-based servers, performing system administration, monitoring infrastructure performance, and troubleshooting production issues. The role also involves working with infrastructure as code tools to automate provisioning, collaborating with development teams to improve deployment workflows, and ensuring systems are secure, stable, and scalable. The DevOps Engineer will participate in planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
Qualifications
Strong System Administration and Linux skills to manage and secure server environments. Experience with Continuous Integration and related tooling to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Solid Software Development fundamentals to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand application lifecycles. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial. Experience with monitoring, logging, and security best practices for production systems. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document processes and configurations.
