The Design and Technology Teacher will develop students' creativity, technical understanding and ability to transform ideas into practical solutions. The position includes curriculum development, project-based learning, assessment and contributions to school enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons.
• Ensure teaching aligns with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
• Develop students' design thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
• Guide pupils through research, ideation, development and evaluation processes.
• Deliver practical projects that encourage creativity and innovation.
• Develop students' ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world challenges.
• Prepare structured schemes of work and lesson sequences.
• Plan instruction that supports students across the full ability range.
• Provide appropriate challenge and support according to individual needs.
• Differentiate learning for students of determination.
• Support pupils who speak English as an additional language.

• Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform teaching.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design or a related subject.
• PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar teaching role.
• International-school teaching experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of design processes and practical project-based learning.
• Experience supporting students who speak English as an additional language.
