The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings shop drawings layouts and construction details for construction MEP and facade projects The role will work closely with engineers architects project managers and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate coordinated and compliant with project requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical construction shop and as-built drawings
- Develop drawings based on architectural structural MEP and facade designs
- Prepare plans elevations sections details layouts and installation drawings
- Produce facade drawings including curtain wall cladding glazing aluminium and related details where applicable
- Prepare MEP drawings covering mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC and other building services as required
- Coordinate drawings between architectural structural facade and MEP disciplines
- Review drawings and identify potential clashes inconsistencies or technical issues
- Incorporate engineer and consultant comments into drawings
- Prepare drawings for submission approval fabrication and site execution
- Update drawings based on site changes and prepare accurate as-built documentation
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to ensure drawings reflect actual project requirements
- Maintain drawing registers revisions and document control
- Ensure all drawings follow project standards specifications and applicable codes
- Assist engineers and project teams with technical documentation and drawing requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2 - 5 years of experience as a Draughtsman within construction, MEP, façade, aluminium, glazing, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with Revit, BIM, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and technical drawings.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
- Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of drawing revisions and technical documentation.
- Ability to work with engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Ability to manage multiple drawings and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
