Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist with knowledge of Siemens and Hitachi PLC-controlled machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, setting, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machines while ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC machines according to engineering drawings job specifications and production requirements
- Read and interpret technical drawings machining tolerances dimensions and work instructions
- Set machine parameters offsets tooling cutting speeds and feeds to achieve accurate and efficient machining
- Work confidently with Siemens and Hitachi PLC systems including basic operation, monitoring, fault identification, and troubleshooting
- Perform CNC machine programming, editing, and adjustments as required
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers micrometers gauges and other precision tools
- Identify machining defects machine faults and process issues and take appropriate corrective action
- Carry out routine machine maintenance tool changes lubrication and basic mechanical electrical troubleshooting
- Ensure production targets quality standards and delivery schedules are consistently achieved
- Maintain a clean organized and safe working environment and follow all company health and safety procedures
- Record production information inspection results machine issues and maintenance activities accurately
- Work closely with engineers supervisors and other production team members to improve machining processes and productivity
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setter, or CNC Operator
- Practical experience with Siemens and Hitachi PLC-controlled CNC machinery
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes, cutting tools, tooling selection, and machine setup
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Technical qualification or relevant machining experience is preferred
Working Conditions
The role involves working in a manufacturing/industrial environment and may require shift work, overtime, and standing for extended periods.
