Position Overview

A leading tertiary care hospital in Dubai, UAE is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join its advanced surgical and critical care team. This position focuses on delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care to children of all ages while actively contributing to teaching, research, and clinical governance within a world-class healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents for both elective and emergency surgical procedures.
  • Develop patient‑specific anesthetic plans tailored to medical history, surgical requirements, and perioperative risk assessment.
  • Monitor patients throughout the perioperative phase, ensuring safe anesthesia administration and recovery.
  • Supervise and guide junior anesthetists, residents, and fellows in clinical practice.
  • Participate in pediatric code blue teams and critical care emergency responses.
  • Contribute to departmental education, simulation training, and quality improvement programs.
  • Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital standards.
  • Participate in clinical research, teaching, and continuing medical education activities.

Ideal Profile

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Anesthesiology.
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from a recognized institution.
  • Board‑certified in Anesthesiology (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2‑5 years of post‑fellowship pediatric anesthesia experience.
  • Eligible for Consultant classification under Dubai Health Authority requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and crisis management skills.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
