Role Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining food processing equipment to meet internal quality and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with production teams to ensure uninterrupted operations, accurate output, and adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare machines for production cycles including calibration, cleaning, and setup
- Verify safety features and machine functionality prior to operation
- Follow written and verbal production instructions accurately
- Operate processing and packaging machinery safely and efficiently
- Perform minor machine calibrations and adjustments as required
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal machine performance
- Monitor machine settings and adjust parameters to maintain output quality
- Inspect parts and products using appropriate measuring tools
- Conduct regular tests to verify machine operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues during production shifts
- Detect and correct machine‑related errors or product defects
- Maintain records of approved and defective units or finished products
- Create and update machine activity and production logs
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Ensure machinery and work areas meet food hygiene standards
Ideal Profile
- Previous experience operating machines in a food processing or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of process control and production machinery
- Strong awareness of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety practices
- Ability to follow SOPs and production schedules accurately
- Willingness to work shifts as required
