Software Engineer – Quality Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer with strong Business Analysis capabilities to support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions across web applications, backend services, mobile applications, Point of Sale (POS) systems, self-service kiosks, and integrated enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (Primary Responsibility)

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate web applications, mobile applications (iOS and Android), backend APIs, POS systems, kiosks, and third-party integrations.
• Test payment workflows, transaction processing, customer journeys, and business-critical processes.
• Verify integrations with backend systems, APIs, authentication services, ERP/CRM platforms, and external vendors.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• Perform database validation and data integrity checks using SQL.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Conduct release validation and production readiness testing.
• Support test automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery of quality releases.

Business Analysis (Secondary Responsibility)

• Assist with gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
• Support the creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
• Participate in workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify requirements.
• Validate delivered functionality against business expectations.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and business sign-off.
• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities within business processes and system workflows.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams when required.

• Understanding of business process mapping and workflow analysis.
• Ability to convert business requirements into testable acceptance criteria.
• Experience supporting UAT activities and stakeholder validation.

Technical Knowledge

• Basic understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, SSO, and MFA.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to cloud-hosted applications and enterprise integrations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Experience testing payment gateways and transaction systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security testing and OWASP principles.
• Experience in hospitality, tourism, entertainment, retail, transportation, or smart city solutions.
• ISTQB Certification and/or Business Analysis certifications (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP) are advantageous.

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Minimum 2 years of exposure to Business Analysis activities.
• Proven experience testing enterprise applications across multiple platforms and technologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
