Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Psychiatrist to join our mental health department at AKH Hospital Al Ain. The ideal candidate will bring extensive clinical experience cultural sensitivity and a patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders in adult and adolescent patients
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists social workers and primary care physicians
- Provide crisis intervention and support for acute psychiatric cases
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
- Participate in hospital-wide mental health awareness initiatives and CME programs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) Specialist Psychiatry qualification (MD Board Certification etc.)
- Valid UAE license or eligibility for HAAD/DHA/MOH licensing
- Minimum 8 years of clinical experience in psychiatry
- Fluency in Arabic and English preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
