Role Context

The Corporate Tax Director will play a central role in strengthening the firm 's tax advisory capability across the UAE. The position requires a senior professional who can interpret complex Corporate Tax and international tax matters, provide commercially relevant advice, manage senior client relationships, and build a sustainable pipeline of new engagements. The director will also be responsible for developing team capability, improving delivery quality, and contributing directly to the financial performance of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead UAE Corporate Tax and International Tax Advisory engagements involving complex commercial, regulatory, and cross-border considerations.
  • Advise clients on Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, tax structuring, transactions, and international tax implications.
  • Develop practical tax solutions that support client objectives while remaining aligned with UAE regulatory requirements.
  • Manage strategic relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, shareholders, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new advisory business across the UAE market.
  • Lead proposals, pitches, technical presentations, engagement scoping, and commercial negotiations.
  • Strengthen the Corporate Tax practice by identifying new service areas and responding to changing client requirements.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing tax team with strong technical and commercial capability.
  • Review key technical deliverables and ensure advisory work is accurate, consistent, and completed on schedule.
  • Allocate resources effectively across engagements and maintain appropriate control over timelines and utilization.
  • Monitor revenue, margins, pricing, pipeline conversion, and profitability across the Corporate Tax service line.
  • Contribute to P&L performance through disciplined engagement management and sustainable business development.
  • Stay current with Federal Tax Authority guidance, UAE Corporate Tax updates, Transfer Pricing requirements, and relevant GCC tax developments.
  • Translate legislative and regulatory changes into clear, actionable advice for clients and internal teams.

Ideal Profile

  • Several years of relevant experience in Corporate Tax and International Tax Advisory.
  • Strong UAE and Dubai market experience is essential.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and its practical application to business operations and transactions.
  • Transfer Pricing experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience leading complex tax engagements and managing senior client relationships.
  • Strong background working with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, and executive decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, proposal preparation, account growth, and winning new advisory work.
  • Practice or service-line management experience is preferred.
  • Commercial understanding of revenue, pricing, utilization, margins, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Big 4, leading professional services, or established tax advisory experience is preferred.
  • CA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
