About Evensteer
Company Description Evensteer is an AI-powered service and an advanced agentic tool that helps coaches, mentors, freelancers, small businesses, and organizations run and manage their day to day tasks, handle their marketing and operational tasks efficiently starting from consulting and strategising the brand to manage threir sales. Instead of costly agencies or additional apps, Evensteer offers an AI expert that manages your website development and hosting, posting, marketing, sales, follow-ups, management, and website updates at an agreed upfront price. The focus is on ensuring that every task is handled and managed at one platform so that important leads and communications are handled promptly, so clients can concentrate on their core work. Applicants will join a growing company that aims to simplify business workflows and improve client outcomes through practical AI solutions.
The role
Evensteer runs on two pieces of software. One is our website, evensteer.com. The other is the Evensteer Platform, a members-only product with one desk for leads, bookings and billing. You’ll work on both.
The website is HTML, CSS and JavaScript on Cloudflare. The Platform is Next.js, TypeScript and Supabase. You’ll use AI coding tools every day, and you’ll read every line they write before it ships.
What you’ll do
• Build and fix pages on evensteer.com. Test them on a real phone, and in Safari as well as Chrome.
• Build small Platform features from a written spec.
• Write API routes, database tables and the tests that go with them.
• Write scripts that save the team time, like link checkers and SEO checks.
• Find bugs, fix them, and write down how you found them. How the six months go Month 1: Get set up and read the code. Ship small fixes to the website. Months 2 to 4: Build Platform features from written specs, with a review on each one. Months 5 and 6: Own one feature from spec to release. Then write it up. Who we’re looking for
• You know HTML, CSS and JavaScript well enough to build a page without a framework.
• You’ve used Git: branches, commits and pull requests.
• You’ve built something you can show us. A GitHub repo, a live site or a college project all count.
• Need to edit codes in React, TypeScript, Rust.
• You’ve used an AI coding tool like Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot. Students, recent graduates and self-taught developers are all welcome. We look at the code before the degree. Who it’s not for
• You need a paid role right now. That’s fair.
• You’d ship AI code you haven’t read.
• You’d rather nobody reviewed your code. It’s unpaid. Here’s what you get.
• A code review on every pull request, with notes on why.
• A weekly call with the founder to plan your work and go over it.
• Real deploys. A website change is live about a minute after it merges.
• A certificate, and a reference letter based on your work.
• Hours that fit around your classes.
How to apply
Email hello@evensteer.com with the subject line “Developer intern”. Send a link to your GitHub or one project. Then tell us about one bug you fixed and how you found it. Everyone who applies hears back, yes or no.
