About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join a growing company operating in the oil & gas and commodity trading sector . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, VAT, and financial reporting. Experience in commodity trading, oil & gas, or a similar commercial environment will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare customer and supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment documentation. Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments. Perform bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations. Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending payments. Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities. Prepare financial reports, accounting schedules, and management reports. Record and monitor sales, purchases, inventory, and trading transactions. Support Dubai VAT calculations, VAT returns, and related documentation. Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial records and supporting documents. Assist with cash-flow monitoring and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with applicable Dubai accounting and tax requirements. Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records. Handle other accounting and finance-related tasks as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience , preferably in Dubai. Experience in trading, oil & gas, commodities, or a similar commercial environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of general accounting, AP, AR, reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting. Good understanding of Dubai VAT and related compliance requirements. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software. Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Good communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications ACCA / CMA / CA or partially qualified candidates. Experience with commodity trading transactions. Experience handling multi-currency transactions and international clients/suppliers. Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems .
