Electronics Engineer – PCB Assembly, Rework

Company Overview Elite Dash Technology is a Dubai-based automotive technology company specialising in the design and manufacture of custom digital dashboards for luxury, performance, motorsport and off-road vehicles. The company serves customers across the UAE and supports a growing international dealer network spanning the Middle East, Europe and Australia. Position Summary Elite Dash Technology is seeking an Electronics Engineer with strong hands-on PCB expertise to build, test and repair its digital dashboard products and to maintain rigorous quality control across every unit produced. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of how the company's circuit boards are designed and operate, and the practical skill to diagnose and repair them at component level, including microscope-assisted SMD soldering and rework.

Key Responsibilities
Assemble the company's digital dashboard products and accessories, including the E-10 and E-12 series, in accordance with documented build procedures. Diagnose and repair PCBs at component level, including the removal and replacement of SMD components using hot air and soldering stations under a stereo microscope. Inspect solder joints and board assemblies under magnification against recognised workmanship standards. Read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts to trace faults to their root cause. Inspect incoming PCBs and components from suppliers and report any defects or nonconformities to management. Install and configure the Android operating system and EliteDash software on each unit. Conduct full functional testing of every completed unit, including boot, display and touch, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and CAN communication, and perform final inspection prior to dispatch. Maintain accurate records of serial numbers, test results, repairs and material usage in the company system, and monitor component stock levels. Analyse recurring failures and recommend design or process improvements to the PCB and product. Verify new software and firmware releases on production hardware and report issues to the development team. Requirements Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in PCB assembly, component-level repair and rework. Expert SMD soldering and desoldering skills, including the removal and replacement of fine-pitch ICs (QFN, QFP), connectors and miniature passive components under a stereo microscope. Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts, and to trace circuits to diagnose faults at component level. Sound understanding of embedded hardware, including power supply and voltage regulation circuits, microcontrollers and communication interfaces such as CAN, UART, I2C, SPI and USB. Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies and hot air rework stations. Strict adherence to ESD-safe practices and a meticulous, methodical approach to work. Computer proficiency, including flashing and configuring Android devices and maintaining accurate digital records. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Currently residing in the United Arab Emirates. Preferred Qualifications BGA rework and reballing experience. Experience with ARM-based embedded systems running Android or Linux. Familiarity with PCB design software such as Altium Designer or KiCad. Experience programming or debugging microcontroller firmware. Experience in automotive electronics, including CAN bus and OBD-II. Performance Expectations (First 90 Days) Every unit is built and tested in accordance with documented procedures, with a completed test checklist recorded against its serial number. No unit is dispatched without full quality control sign-off. Faulty and returned boards are repaired at component level wherever practical, with root causes logged and recurring issues escalated with recommended design or process improvements.
