Key Responsibilities
Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining processes for precision components. Prepare efficient CAM programs and optimize cutting parameters to reduce cycle time and improve productivity. Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, and machining strategies. Design and develop fixtures and workholding solutions. Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T. Prepare clear and accurate CNC setup sheets and machining instructions. Perform/assist with probing, inspection, and precision measurement. Troubleshoot machining issues and continuously improve machining processes.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in CNC milling and CAM programming. Strong knowledge of 3-axis CNC machining; experience with 4-axis or 5-axis machining is an advantage. Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T. Experience with CNC probing and precision measuring equipment. Proficiency in one or more CAM software packages such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or Siemens NX. Experience with CNC controls such as Haas, FANUC, Siemens, or DN Solutions is preferred. Practical experience machining Aluminium 6082 and precision components. Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills. Preferred Candidate: A hands-on CNC professional who can independently take a component from drawing → CAM programming → tooling/fixture selection → machine setup → machining → inspection, while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
