Project Engineer

Role Description: We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Engineer – Interior Fit-Out to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5–6 years of proven experience in the interior fit-out industry, with strong technical knowledge, site management capabilities, and expertise in handling projects from initiation through final handover. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supervising execution teams, monitoring project progress, managing subcontractors, coordinating with consultants and clients, and ensuring that all project activities are completed within the approved timelines, budget, and quality standards. Important: Previous experience in interior fit-out projects is mandatory. Candidates without relevant interior fit-out experience will not be considered. Key Roles and

Responsibilities:
1) Project Planning & Execution:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute interior fit-out projects from commencement to final handover.
- Develop project schedules, work plans, and execution strategies to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor daily project progress and ensure activities are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Design Team, Procurement Team, and Site Supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify potential project delays and implement corrective measures. Key Roles and Responsibilities 2) Site Management & Supervision:
- Supervise and monitor daily site activities, ensuring proper execution of all interior fit-out works.
- Manage and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, technicians, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and other site resources.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and construction progress.
- Ensure site activities comply with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications. 3) Technical & Drawing Coordination:
- Read, interpret, and execute architectural, structural, MEP, and detailed shop drawings.
- Coordinate with design and technical teams regarding drawing revisions and site requirements.
- Identify technical discrepancies and resolve site-related engineering issues.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved material specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, material approvals, and technical submissions. 4) Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Follow up with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with MEP teams for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other associated works.
- Maintain effective communication between the office and site teams. 5) Quality Control & Safety:
- Ensure all fit-out works meet the required quality standards and approved specifications.
- Monitor finishing works, joinery installation, gypsum, painting, flooring, ceiling, and other interior works.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure timely rectification of identified defects.
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, company policies, and applicable UAE requirements.
- Maintain proper site documentation, inspection reports, and progress records. 6) Project Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain records of manpower, materials, site activities, and project-related correspondence.
- Monitor project schedules and report any deviations to management.
- Assist in tracking project costs, material consumption, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and final project handover. Required Qualifications &

Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in the Interior Fit-Out industry is mandatory.
- Previous experience working on interior design and turnkey fit-out projects in the UAE is highly preferred.
- Candidates currently based in Dubai will be given preference.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out execution, construction methods, and site coordination.
- Excellent understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Hands-on experience managing site teams, subcontractors, and project execution.
- Knowledge of UAE construction practices, site procedures, and safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict project deadlines.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software. Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidates with 5–6 years of hands-on UAE interior fit-out experience.
- Professionals who have independently handled interior fit-out site execution.
- Candidates with experience in commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality fit-out projects.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.
- Candidates currently residing in Dubai will receive preference during the selection process.
