Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary Desert Man Transporting and Contracting LLC is looking for experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians / Mechanics to join our team and support our ongoing construction and transportation operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of heavy construction, earthmoving, and industrial equipment. The role requires strong hands-on technical skills, particularly in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and drivetrains. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, responding to equipment breakdowns at workshops and project sites, and ensuring maximum equipment reliability while minimizing operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty construction and earthmoving equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, braking systems, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose equipment faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and technical procedures.
- Attend to equipment breakdowns at workshops and project sites and restore equipment to operational condition as quickly as possible.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential mechanical problems before major failures occur.
- Replace, repair, and adjust defective components, parts, and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing, and parts used.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment condition, defects, and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Support the team in minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining fleet availability. Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong practical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance.

- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently.
- Experience responding to equipment breakdowns in workshops and/or project sites.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, maintenance schedules, and technical information.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent breakdowns when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A safety-conscious approach to all maintenance and repair activities. Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, reliable, and technically strong mechanic who can identify problems quickly and carry out effective repairs with minimal supervision.
