ob Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with healthcare industry experience to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our healthcare division. The candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting functions within a hospital, clinic, medical centre, pharmacy, or other healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries, receipts, payments and expense postings.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals before payment.
- Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations regularly.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate for timely collection and settlement.
- Assist in maintaining petty cash and verifying supporting documents.
- Support accounting related to healthcare operations, insurance receivables and patient billing, where applicable.
- Coordinate with billing, insurance, pharmacy and other operational departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain proper records of fixed assets, expenses, accruals and prepayments.
- Support preparation and maintenance of UAE VAT records and documentation.
- Assist senior accountants and the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports, schedules and management information.
- Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and maintained for audit purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, financial controls and applicable UAE regulations. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, with previous experience in the UAE healthcare sector strongly preferred.
- Experience in a hospital, medical centre, clinic, pharmacy or healthcare group will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting.
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Pay: AED3,000.00
