ZIA Medical Center is seeking a qualified, patient-focused, and experienced General Practitioner who is fluent in Arabic and English to join our clinical team on a full-time basis.
The GP will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, assess and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, promote preventive healthcare, and ensure a high standard of patient care in accordance with DHA regulations and the policies of ZIA Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical consultations, physical examinations, and patient assessments.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with approved clinical guidelines and UAE regulations.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other investigations.
- Provide preventive healthcare services, including health screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counselling.
- Monitor patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and high cholesterol.
- Identify cases requiring specialist care and arrange appropriate referrals.
- Provide follow-up care and maintain continuity of treatment.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization when required.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic medical records.
- Ensure proper clinical documentation, diagnosis coding, and insurance-related medical justification.
- Communicate treatment plans, test results, and medical advice clearly to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with specialists, nurses, laboratory staff, reception, insurance, and other departments.
- Follow DHA regulations, infection-control standards, patient-safety requirements, and clinic policies.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement activities, and mandatory training.
- Support patient retention and service excellence through professional and compassionate care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable data-protection requirements. Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent recognized medical qualification.
- Valid DHA licence or DHA eligibility letter as a General Practitioner.
- Relevant post-qualification clinical experience.
- Previous experience in a hospital, medical centre, or polyclinic in the UAE is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
- Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Good knowledge of DHA regulations, clinical documentation, and insurance requirements.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and patient-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional, ethical, and patient-centred approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred. Pay: AED6,000.00
