Role Description The General Manager will provide overall leadership and operational oversight for Fundo de Energia, FP in a part-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting strategic priorities, supervising core operations, and ensuring that projects align with the fund’s mission and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and overseeing reporting to stakeholders and governing bodies. The General Manager will coordinate with internal and external partners, support fundraising and partnership development efforts, and guide the implementation of energy-related initiatives. This position also requires maintaining effective communication channels, managing risk, and continuously improving organizational processes and policies. Qualifications
- Strategic leadership skills, including experience in setting organizational direction, leading teams, and driving execution of long-term plans.
- Financial management abilities, such as budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and reporting to stakeholders or boards.
- Operations and project management skills, including planning, prioritization, performance monitoring, and process improvement.
- Stakeholder and partnership management capabilities, covering collaboration with public and private entities, negotiation, and relationship building.
- Knowledge of the energy sector, sustainability, or related fields, with an understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry trends.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and use digital tools for collaboration and reporting.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience in a senior management or general management role, ideally within funds, non-profits, public institutions, or energy-related organizations.
