Role Description The Planning Engineer – RTA approved will support engineering consultancy for INFRASTRUCTURAL projects in Dubai, ensuring that project plans, schedules, and resources are aligned with Road and Transport Authority (RTA) requirements and standards. This full-time, on-site role involves preparing and updating project schedules, monitoring progress, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to address delays, risks, and changes. The Planning Engineer will analyze project performance data, produce regular reports and forecasts, and provide input on resource allocation and production planning to keep projects on track. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders; maintaining accurate project documentation; and contributing to continuous improvement in planning and project control processes. Qualifications
• Strong project planning and scheduling skills, including experience with planning tools and methodologies.
• Robust analytical skills for evaluating project data, identifying trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in production planning, resource allocation, and coordination across project phases.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and RTA and other regulatory stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project control practices, including progress tracking, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in engineering consultancy, preferably on transportation or infrastructure projects.
• RTA approval or eligibility for RTA approval as a Planning Engineer in Dubai.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced certifications in project planning or control are an advantage.
• Proficiency with planning and project control software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and strong MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with local codes, standards, and regulations in Dubai, especially those related to RTA projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
