Role Description The Special Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering special construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met. Daily responsibilities include leading project meetings, managing stakeholder communications, and aligning site activities with contract specifications and safety standards. The Special Project Manager monitors progress, oversees procurement and expediting of materials, coordinates inspections, and resolves logistical or operational issues. The role also involves preparing status reports, managing risks, supporting continuous improvement of project processes, and collaborating closely with engineering, site supervision, logistics, and senior management teams. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including Project Management experience, planning, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
• Candidates should possess expediting-related skills, such as experience as an Expeditor and hands-on Expediting capabilities for materials, equipment, and subcontractor deliverables.
• Candidates should possess inspection-related skills, including Inspection experience, familiarity with quality standards, and the ability to oversee compliance on site.
• Candidates should possess logistics-focused skills, including Logistics Management, supply chain coordination, and resource allocation in a construction environment.
• Relevant experience in building contracting or construction, preferably on complex or special projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under time constraints and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with project management and construction-related software tools and standard MS Office applications.
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards and the ability to promote a culture of safety on site.
