About the Role
Build and maintain custom features for a Shopify Plus luxury fashion e-commerce store. You'll work on theme development, API integrations, custom apps, and platform optimization for a growing Dubai-based brand. Strong UI/UX sensibility required to translate designs into pixel-perfect implementations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and customize Shopify Plus themes (Liquid, custom sections, responsive design)
• Build and integrate custom Shopify apps (REST/GraphQL APIs)
• Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, CRM, analytics, returns systems)
• Translate Figma designs into functional, performant code
• Optimize store performance and conversion (page speed, UX, Core Web Vitals)
• Develop backend solutions and microservices (Node.js, webhooks, automation)
• Troubleshoot and debug platform issues
• Collaborate with management and product team on feature implementation.
• Required Skills
• 2-5 years hands-on Shopify development experience
• Shopify Plus platform knowledge (liquid, custom apps, advanced features)
• Strong in Liquid templating, JavaScript, React
• UI/UX awareness: Can read Figma designs, understand component structure, and implement with attention to detail
• Figma: Comfortable navigating design files, understanding specs, measurements, and design systems
• Backend: Node.js, RESTful APIs, GraphQL basics
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB (or similar)
• Version control: Git, GitHub
• Problem-solving and self-directed
• Clear communication Nice-to-Have
• Experience with AI developer tools (Claude, Codex, terminal-based AI assistants).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Shopify App Store app development.
• Mobile app integration (React Native).
