Project Logistics Manager
The Project Logistics Manager oversees and executes end-to-end supply chain, marine Transport, and field logistics operations supporting ADNOC Offshore oil and gas projects. The position ensures the safe, compliant, and cost-effective movement of project cargo, heavy lifts, marine spreads, bulk material, and personnel between onshore bases, staging ports, marine supply vessels, and offshore oilfield locations in line with ADNOC operational standards and project schedules.
YOUR ROLE
As Project Logistics Manager, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities;
Offshore & Marine Transport Logistics Operations
• Manage vessel dispatch, scheduling, and chartering operations for supply vessels, flat-top barges, tugs, crew boats, and accommodation barges
• Oversee quay side and jetty operations at major Abu Dhabi ports (e.g., Mina Zayed, Musaffah Port, Ruwais, Khalifa Port, or project fabrication yards).
• Coordinate marine load-outs, lashing/sea-fastening inspections, heavy lifts, and offshore offloading in compliance with marine engineering and class rules.
• Monitor weather windows, tide constraints, and offshore site access restrictions to adjust vessel rotations and minimize field downtime.
• Plan and manage crew movements, helicopter transfers, personnel offshore transport, and offshore accommodation bed allocation. Supply Chain, Customs & Local Authority Clearance
• Develop and execute the Project Logistics Management Plan tailored to ADNOC Offshore regulations.
• Secure critical security clearances, including CICPA passes, ADNOC field access permits, and port gate passes for personnel, vehicles, and equipment.
• Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance processes, dangerous goods certifications, duty exemptions, and temporary import bonds with UAE Customs authorities.
• Oversee warehousing, open yard storage, material preservation, inventory control, and tracking using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle). Stakeholder & Contractor Management
• Act as the main logistics focal point with ADNOC Offshore representatives, PMC, contractors/subcontractors, port authorities, and marine sub-contractors.
• Direct and evaluate third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, marine vessel providers owners, and heavy-haulage vendors.
• Participate in project schedule updates, constructability reviews, and marine installation strategy meetings. HSE, Regulatory Compliance & Quality
• Ensure zero-harm operations across all marine chartering, port handling, and road transport activities in alignment with ADNOC HSE framework and Marine Procedures.
• Review and approve logistics risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Method Statements, and lifting plans for heavy lifts/out-of-gauge project cargo.
• Enforce compliance with international marine regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, IMDG) and UAE maritime laws. Cost Control & Reporting
• Control logistics project budgets, track marine vessel daily charter rates, fuel consumption (bunker management), and freight expenses.
• Review contractor invoices, variation orders, and claims before project approval.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly logistics KPI reports, tracking vessel utilization, cargo turnaround times, and delivery milestones. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Experience
• Must have 15+ years in logistics and supply chain within major Oil & Gas, Offshore EPC, Marine Construction
• Minimum 8 years in a managerial role.
• Prior direct experience with ADNOC Offshore projects, standards, and operational clearance systems is strongly Required & preferred. Education and Certifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/ civil/industrial Engineering, or related field.
• APICS/CIPS (preferred), IMDG / Dangerous Goods handling certification (a plus). Skills and Competencies
• Marine logistics (vessel spreads, barges, chartering), CICPA pass clearances, UAE customs laws, heavy lift engineering, and supply base operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), Primavera/MS Project alignment, and marine tracking tools.
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
