To assist the General Services Manager and HSE & Security Manager and individual Business Unit HSE Committee‘s in maintaining robust Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) programme across Al Tayer Motors with a view to ensuring legal compliance and to provide a safe and healthy work environment for people, property and assets. Responsibilities
• Participate and supports General Services Manager and HSE & Security Manager, in the implementation and maintenance of the HSE policies, procedures and framework that will allow individual Business Units to effectively meet its HSE objectives and targets, in line with Al Tayer Motors strategy and direction
• Conduct HSE site inspections, audits and / or HSE Risk Assessments on various facilities or activities performed therein and prepare management reports
• Maintain and update HSE documentation and databases to illustrate compliance of respective Business Units and prepare associated management reports
• Assist HSE & Security Manager by attending BU HSE Committee meetings and offer suitable HSE & ISO expertise, guidance and training to ensure compliance with HSE & ISO frameworks
• Attend and evaluate Evacuation Drills conducted by Business Units and prepare management reports with recommendations for improvement
• Conduct relevant HSE and Accident investigation trainings with the view to improving incident and hazard reporting and rectification
• Assist BU HSE Committee‘s to interpret & respond appropriately to incidents & accidents so as to identify new and emerging threats, identify root causes and areas for improvement making recommendations to management on how to best mitigate the same
• Ensure awareness of HSE issues through the correct application of the Al Tayer Motors HSE Communication strategy together with BU HSE Committees
• Maintain & manage relationships with in-house clients, service providers, contractors, law enforcement, judicial and civil emergency response authorities & ensure that the HSE Management functions are administered to the highest degree of professionalism and satisfaction Qualifications
• A graduate with some tertiary level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Fire Prevention & Risk Management
• A formal recognized qualification related to Fire & safety is preferable
• 5
- 7 years work experience in large diverse commercial establishment
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, fire & emergency response plans or disaster recovery within a corporate environment
• Experience in implementing and maintaining integrated ISO standards
• Ability to effectively interpret and apply HSE policies, procedures and processes
• Ability to effectively deliver HSE Training Sessions
