Consultant – Medicine (Stroke)
Location: Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
Position Type: Full-Time

The successful candidate will provide specialist management of patients with acute and chronic cerebrovascular disease and will work closely with Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, Cardiology, and Rehabilitation teams.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients presenting with acute stroke and TIA.
- Participate in acute stroke pathways.
- Coordinate rapid neurological assessment and imaging.
- Develop secondary stroke prevention strategies.
- Manage stroke risk factors including:
- Hypertension
- Diabetes
- Dyslipidaemia
- Atrial fibrillation
- Participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings.
- Coordinate rehabilitation and long-term follow-up.
- Review CT, MRI, vascular imaging, and other relevant investigations.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient stroke care.
- Educate patients and families regarding stroke prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement, audit, and clinical education.
- Recognised Medical Degree
- Recognised Specialist / Consultant qualification in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Stroke Medicine, or relevant specialty
- Significant experience in stroke management
- Strong acute stroke and secondary prevention knowledge
- Valid UAE medical licence or eligibility preferred
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Dedicated Stroke Medicine training
- Experience in comprehensive stroke services
- Experience with multidisciplinary rehabilitation
- Tertiary hospital experience
- Existing UAE licensing or eligibility
