About the job Electrical Engineer (AWAFI) Stantec is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision project in Dubai.Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, including street lighting, power cables, substations, telecom Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information and assess project requirements Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical systems Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation Conduct electrical calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with codes and standards Monitor project progress and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases Perform quality control checks to ensure design and construction meet project requirements Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical engineeringQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management Strong technical backgroundExcellent knowledge of Electrical systems, products and materialsExcellent knowledge of applicable Electrical design and construction codesExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel, Word)Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentationExcellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirementsComplete project understanding in a given discipline, from start to hand-over.MUST HAVE experience in Street lighting, power cables, substations, telecomDEWA/EWE/RTA approval (MUST)MUST HAVE experience working with supervision consultantsMUST HAVE full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the emirates of DubaiValid driver's license (Preferred)
