About The Role
A counterparty sends over a set of figures two days before a decision meeting, and half of them do not reconcile with what the land registry shows. Someone has to sit with the numbers, find where the gap comes from, and write it up in a way a partner can read on the way into the room. That is the work of a Real Estate Analyst at Dune Strategy. We are hiring at entry level for a permanent, full-time role, worked remotely from Dubai. You will support the analysis that sits under property transactions, market entry decisions and joint ventures involving real assets across the region. Most of what you produce will land on a partner's desk within hours of being written, so the standard is a clear position with the reasoning behind it. About Dune Strategy We are a management consulting firm based in Dubai, advising international investors, family groups and sovereign-linked entities on commercial decisions in the region. The firm stays small on purpose and keeps a limited portfolio of active engagements, so partners remain in the conversations where decisions are shaped instead of handing them downward. Research and market intelligence from analysts like you is what those conversations are built on. What You Will Do
Build the property and market data behind a mandate: pricing evidence, transaction comparables, occupancy and yield figures, and what local operating conditions do to each of them. Map counterparties before a meeting. Who owns what, who signs, who has to be persuaded, and which family or institutional relationships sit behind the entity in front of us. Assemble briefing material for partners, usually a short note with the key numbers in it and a clear line on where the uncertainty sits. Track a regulatory path from first filing to outcome, and flag when a step slips or a requirement changes. Write the note a partner uses in the meeting: two pages, plain language, the commercial call stated early. Keep our own records current so a question about a site or a counterparty can be answered the same day it is asked.
What We Are Looking For
Clear thinking on paper. You can take a messy set of facts and reduce it to the three points that matter. Basic knowledge of real estate fundamentals: how a property is valued, what drives rent and yield, and how a transaction is put together. This can come from studies, an internship or a side project. A good command of English, written and spoken. Our notes go to international clients and get read closely. Comfort with incomplete information. Early in a mandate we rarely have the full picture, and the useful move is to say what we know and what we still need. Care with detail on numbers and sources, because a figure that cannot be traced is a figure we cannot use. A pragmatic streak. You are willing to call a small number of people, ask direct questions and follow up until you have an answer.
