Full-timeRole Context The Paramedic forms part of the resort 's frontline medical response capability, providing immediate assessment and treatment when guests, visitors, or colleagues experience illness, injury, or medical emergencies. The position requires clinical judgment, calm decision-making, accurate communication, and the ability to respond effectively across guest areas, operational facilities, and employee residences. Beyond emergency treatment, the role contributes to preventive healthcare, occupational health and safety, emergency planning, medical readiness, and colleague training. Accurate patient records, properly maintained medical equipment, effective referral communication, and ongoing professional development are essential to maintaining a reliable medical service within a large hospitality ResponsibilitiesRespond rapidly to medical emergencies throughout the resort and employee residences.
Assess patients promptly and determine appropriate emergency or primary care interventions.
Deliver pre-hospital emergency medical care within the approved scope of practice.
Provide first aid and advanced paramedic support according to patient condition.
Stabilize patients before transfer to external healthcare facilities when required.
Monitor patient condition and provide ongoing care until handover or discharge.
Communicate clearly with receiving hospitals, physicians, ambulance services, and other healthcare providers.
Provide accurate clinical information during patient referrals and transfers.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment, interventions, and outcomes.
Record medical and safety incidents accurately and within required timelines.
Prepare written reports related to healthcare, medical emergencies, and health and safety events.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and company primary healthcare requirements for guests, visitors, and colleagues.
Provide appropriate advice and guidance regarding minor illness and injury.
Consult the designated Medical Director regarding patient treatment when required.
Escalate complex or high-risk medical cases psychological crisis intervention within professional competency.
Offer basic psychological support to individuals experiencing distress or acute incidents.
Assist with implementation of the resort Emergency Operations Plan.
Support emergency evacuation procedures involving injured or vulnerable persons.
Participate in triage during major incidents or mass-casualty first aid operations during resort emergencies.
Understand and perform assigned paramedic responsibilities within emergency response structures.
Coordinate with Health and Safety teams on occupational health to maintaining safe working conditions across operational departments.
Report health-related hazards or recurring medical concerns requiring preventive action.
Assist with healthcare requirements within employee residences.
Maintain accurate and current medical records and administrative patient care documentation remains clear, complete, secure, and accessible to authorized personnel.
Inspect medical equipment regularly for operational readiness.
Maintain first aid equipment and emergency medical supplies.
Perform minor equipment repairs when appropriate and within competency.
Report defective equipment requiring specialist maintenance or replacement.
Inspect paramedic bags before deployment and confirm required contents are complete.
Monitor medicines for availability, correct storage, and expiry expired, damaged, or depleted supplies according to approved procedures.
Maintain clinical hygiene standards within the medical clinic.
Ensure treatment areas and medical equipment remain clean and ready for use.
Support infection prevention and control practices.
Prepare and deliver First Aid training to resort colleagues.
Conduct CPR training in accordance with approved training standards.
Deliver AED training and practical demonstrations to employees.
Maintain appropriate attendance and training records.
Encourage colleagues to understand emergency response procedures.
Remain informed about developments in emergency medicine and healthcare practice.
Participate in continuing medical education activities.
Attend workshops, professional forums, and medical training when required.
Attend departmental meetings requested by the Manager Medical Services.
Follow clinical protocols, company policies, and established procedu
