QHSE OFFICER – CATERING – HEALTHCARE

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. We are looking for an experienced and proactive QHSE Officer to join our catering operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in both healthcare and school catering, with hands-on experience in food safety, quality assurance, hygiene, HSE compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure compliance with QHSE, HACCP, GMP, Food Safety Management Systems, and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Monitor food safety and hygiene standards throughout food preparation, production, storage, transportation, and service.
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections, hygiene audits, food safety checks, risk assessments, and site inspections.
• Ensure strict food safety controls for healthcare and school catering operations.
• Monitor patient meals, school meals, special diets, allergens, portion control, food temperatures, and meal distribution procedures.
• Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of HACCP plans, CCPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and food safety procedures.
• Monitor allergen management and ensure appropriate controls are in place to prevent cross-contamination and allergen-related incidents.
• Conduct regular inspections of central kitchens, school catering sites, healthcare facilities, stores, transportation vehicles, and food service areas.
• Ensure proper standards for personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitation, pest control, waste management, chemical handling, and equipment hygiene.
• Coordinate and support client audits, Municipality inspections, regulatory inspections, and third-party audits.
• Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, non-conformities, and quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate QHSE records, inspection reports, temperature logs, cleaning records, audit reports, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
• Conduct regular QHSE, food safety, HACCP, GMP, personal hygiene, and allergen awareness training for kitchen and service staff.
• Work closely with Operations, Chefs, Nutritionists/Dietitians, School Site Teams, Healthcare Teams, and Management to maintain and improve QHSE standards.
• Ensure compliance with client-specific healthcare and school catering requirements.
• Monitor food transportation and ensure appropriate temperature control and food safety requirements are maintained during delivery.
• Identify potential risks and recommend practical improvements to strengthen the company's QHSE culture and food safety performance.

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Food Safety, Environmental Health, QHSE, HSE, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in catering QHSE/Food Safety, preferably with strong exposure to both healthcare and school catering.
• Strong practical knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety Management Systems, allergen management, and food hygiene.
• Experience with healthcare catering/hospital food services and understanding of patient meal requirements will be highly preferred.
• Experience in school catering, including children's meals, allergen controls, special dietary requirements, and school food safety standards.
• PIC / Food Safety certification and relevant QHSE certifications are preferred.
• Good knowledge of UAE Municipality food safety regulations and inspection requirements.
• Strong experience in conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across central kitchen and multiple client sites.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
• UAE Driving License is a must.
• UAE catering experience is preferred.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in healthcare and school catering operations and understand the additional food safety responsibilities associated with patient meals, children's meals, allergens, special diets, hygiene controls, meal transportation, and client/regulatory audits.
