WorkspaceOnline (remote)Student's homeTutor's home (where approved)Schools (where contracted)Community venues (where applicable)We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Islamic Studies Tutor — O Level / IGCSEto support students studying Islamic Studies through Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, or other recognised O Level and IGCSE successful candidate will deliver personalised lessons that strengthen students' understanding of the Qur'an, Hadith, Islamic beliefs, worship, ethics, history, civilisation, jurisprudence, and contemporary issues while developing analytical thinking, structured writing, source interpretation, and examination skills.

Key Responsibilities
Assess students' subject knowledge, learning needs, and examination goalsDeliver personalised O Level and IGCSE Islamic Studies tuitionTeach Islamic beliefs (Aqidah), worship (Ibadah), Qur'an, Hadith, Seerah, Islamic history, ethics, civilisation, and contemporary Islamic issuesDevelop students' understanding of Islamic principles through authentic sources and scholarly perspectives appropriate to the examination specificationTeach source analysis, structured responses, essay writing, and critical evaluationPrepare learners for multiple-choice, structured, and essay-style examination questionsUse past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and syllabus objectives to guide revisionEncourage respectful discussion, ethical reflection, and critical thinkingMonitor progress and provide regular feedback to students and parentsStay informed about syllabus updates and examination requirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Theology, Education, Arabic, or a related fieldMOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtainMinimum 2 years' experience teaching Islamic StudiesStrong knowledge of O Level or IGCSE Islamic Studies curriculaPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related disciplinePGCE, B.
Ed., or recognised teaching qualificationExperience teaching Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel Islamic StudiesExperience as an examiner, moderator, or curriculum specialistFluency in Arabic and EnglishUAE Licensing RequirementsTutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. CompensationEarn 60% commission on all checked-in, completed, and fully paid student lessons and packages.
Commission is calculated after the student's payment has been received by Simone's Tutoring.
Payments are processed monthly.
Tutors are engaged as independent contractors and manage their own tax and visa earnings may be available through workshops, holiday programmes, group classes, and corporate training opportunities.
