- Shipyard Operations (UAE)UAEPosition SummaryThe Finance Manager will oversee the organization’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and regulatory compliance to support long‑term profitability and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GCC-based industrial, shipyard, offshore, EPC, or oil & gas environments, with the ability to provide strategic financial leadership to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow reportsConduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights to managementMonitor financial performance and identify operational improvement opportunitiesBudgeting & ForecastingDevelop annual budgets, financial plans, and weekly forecastsPerform variance analysis against budgets and project performanceSupport strategic financial planning initiativesPrepare cost centre-wise Profit & Loss analysisMonitor project/job code profitability and notify management of cost variancesCoordinate closely with project and operational teams for financial trackingTreasury & Cash Flow ManagementManage company treasury, banking relationships, and working capitalMonitor and optimize company cash flow positionProvide weekly cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning reportsCompliance & AuditEnsure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, Corporate Tax requirements, e-invoicing, and statutory obligationsCoordinate external and internal auditsMaintain strong financial governance and internal controlsStrategic AdvisoryAdvise senior management on financial strategies and business risksIdentify opportunities for profitability enhancement and cost reductionSupport commercial decision-making and operational efficiency initiativesLead and supervise the Finance & Accounting DepartmentConduct performance reviews, mentoring, and team developmentPromote accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance teamKey RequirementsEducationMaster’s Degree in Finance or AccountingCPA / CA / ACCA qualification preferredExperienceMinimum 15 years of experience in Finance & AccountingMinimum 10 years’ experience as a Finance Manager within the GCCPrevious experience in Shipyard, Offshore, EPC, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Engineering industries preferred
