Translate client visions and designer sketches into precise buildable joinery and furniture drawings ensuring all dimensions and material specifications are accurately detailed
Develop detailed technical drawings including elevations sections and joinery details for custom furniture pieces and architectural millwork
Create 3D models and renderings to visualize complex joinery and furniture designs facilitating client understanding and design approval
Produce cutting lists and material take-offs with high accuracy to optimize material usage and minimize waste in the workshop
Possess a diploma or certification in Furniture Design, or a related field.
Demonstrate 3-5 years of experience specifically in joinery, custom furniture, or architectural millwork drafting.
Exhibit strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and potentially 3D rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
Possess a solid understanding of wood species, joinery techniques, hardware, and finishing processes relevant to furniture making.
