We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with strong expertise in the engineering design and development of onshore oil and gas facilities. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of experience, with a deep understanding of FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases. Experience on ADNOC projects or with ADNOC group companies is highly preferred.
JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and oversee the civil and structural design activities during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases of onshore projects.
Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as design reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations for civil, structural, and infrastructure works (e.g., foundations, roads, drainage, buildings, pipe racks).
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., piping, mechanical, electrical) to ensure technical alignment.
Ensure all civil and structural designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations, including ADNOC standards.
Conduct technical evaluations, support constructability reviews, and provide inputs to planning and cost estimation teams.
Participate in design review meetings, client presentations, and interface coordination with stakeholders.
Review and resolve technical queries from contractors, vendors, and other engineering departments.
Support site teams during early construction planning and pre-construction activities, as needed.
KEY
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering for onshore oil and gas projects.
Strong knowledge and experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases.
Proficiency in design software such as STAAD.
Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.
Solid understanding of international design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode) and ADNOC standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical work and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
ADNOC project experience is a significant advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Masters degree or postgraduate certification in structural or geotechnical engineering.
Experience with PMC or EPC contractors working on ADNOC or similar clients.
