Job title: Senior OT Security Engineer (Nozomi Networks)

Location: United Arab Emirates

About the opportunity

Edison Smart is supporting a critical infrastructure client in the UAE on a long-term contract to expand OT visibility and security across their industrial sites. You’ll join a programme focused on deploying and optimising Nozomi Networks, strengthening network segmentation, and improving the security posture of live operational environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who has worked inside real plant environments and understands how to secure OT without disrupting operations.

Key responsibilities

Deploy, configure and optimise Nozomi Networks Guardian sensors and the Central Management Console (CMC) across multiple industrial sites
Plan sensor placement, traffic mirroring and data collection to achieve full asset visibility
Tune alerting, baselines and threat detection to reduce false positives and improve operational value
Design and implement Purdue-aligned network architectures, including OT firewalls, DMZs and segmentation between IT and OT
Carry out IEC 62443-based risk assessments, including zone and conduit design and remediation planning
Work closely with operations, engineering and IT teams to make sure security changes are safe for live environments
Produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams and handover materials
Support incident investigation and response within OT environments when needed
7+ years in OT / IC security, with hands-on delivery in live industrial environments
Proven Nozomi Networks deployment experience (Guardian and CMC)
Strong industrial networking knowledge, including segmentation, firewalls and DMZ design
Practical experience applying IEC 62443 and the Purdue model
Understanding of industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC and IEC 61850
Background in oil and gas, utilities, manufacturing or other critical infrastructure
Experience with other OT security platforms such as Claroty or Dragos
Exposure to OT firewall vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks or Cisco
Experience in the GCC or with UAE regulatory frameworks
Certifications such as GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443 or Nozomi Networks training
