Perform structural calculations and analysis covering wind loads, dead loads, seismic loads, and other applicable design loads.
Develop and review structural details for facade connections, brackets, anchors, and support systems.
Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings, engineering calculations, and technical submissions.
Verify that proposed structural solutions satisfy relevant project specifications and performance requirements.
Review material specifications, technical data sheets, and structural performance criteria.
Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable international codes and authority requirements.
Design Review and Technical CoordinationCoordinate structural engineering requirements with architects, consultants, structural engineers, BIM teams, and project and site teams.
Conduct technical reviews of facade designs and identify potential structural or constructability issues.
Provide engineering solutions for design changes, site conditions, and technical challenges.
Coordinate design requirements with manufacturing and production teams to ensure solutions are practical for facade structural systems with consideration for materials, connections, installation methods, and overall performance.
Resolve technical interfaces between design intent, fabrication requirements, and site DocumentationSupport the preparation and review of structural calculations and design or review technical reports and engineering submissions.
Contribute technical input to method statements where required.
Maintain accuracy and technical consistency across engineering deliverables.
Ensure required design and engineering documentation is completed within project deadlines.
Site and Construction SupportConduct site inspections when required and provide structural engineering support for facade installation and construction issues.
The role will work with project and site teams to address technical discrepancies and ensure installed systems remain consistent with approved engineering requirements.
Technical LeadershipProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and designers. The Senior Structural Engineer will support sound engineering decision-making across the team while maintaining appropriate standards for calculations, drawings, technical reviews, and design and ExperienceBachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.8-12 years of structural engineering experience.
Significant experience with facade, aluminum, curtain wall, cladding, glazing, or building envelope projects.
UAE or GCC facade experience is knowledge of facade structural systems, connections, materials, and installation methods.
Strong understanding of wind-load calculations and facade performance requirements.
Experience applying international structural standards and design codes.
Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, architects, and manufacturing teams.
Technical SkillsProficiency in structural analysis and design software.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Ability to use relevant structural engineering tools.
Structural load analysis and engineering connection, bracket, anchor, and support-system design.
Technical drawing and shop drawing review.
