Role Description This full-time, on-site Specialist Gynecology role is based at Phoenix Hospital in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Specialist Gynecologist will provide comprehensive gynecological care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Daily responsibilities include assessing and managing gynecological conditions, counseling patients on treatment options, preventive care, and reproductive health, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves interpreting diagnostic tests, maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical protocols, and participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. The Specialist Gynecologist is also expected to support clinical teaching and contribute to continuous professional development activities within the hospital.
QualificationsRecognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency or specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Valid professional license to practice as a Specialist Gynecologist in the United Arab Emirates, or eligibility to obtain one.
Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gynecological conditions, including performing common gynecological procedures and minimally invasive interventions.
Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based practice, with attention to safety and quality standards.
Effective communication and counseling skills for discussing diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care with patients and families in a culturally sensitive manner.
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health professionals, and other specialists, to deliver coordinated care.
Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional guidelines.
Experience or interest in clinical teaching, continuing medical education, and participation in research or quality improvement projects is an advantage.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages commonly spoken in the UAE is beneficial.
