Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and layouts received from consultants, contractors, and clients.
Develop detailed project layouts, schematic diagrams, and single-line drawings using AutoCAD and related design tools.
Prepare project data tables, schedules, and technical documentation.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors on all design-related matters.
Ensure compliance with internal design standards, technical requirements, and industry best practices.
Support and mentor CAD Drafters by providing technical guidance and design support.
Deliver design packages within agreed project timelines and milestones.
Verify that all designs undergo internal functional and technical reviews before submission.
Generate reports, schedules, and documentation using relevant design software.
Maintain project records and design documentation within project management systems.
Review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and validate that design quantities accurately match project requirements.
Develop baseline software or system configurations required to support project commissioning activities.
Contribute innovative ideas and recommend improvements to enhance design quality and project outcomes.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Coordinate design-related activities between operations teams and site teams throughout project execution.

Desired Candidate ProfileRequired Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD.
Experience with lighting, automation, or integrated systems design software such as Lutron.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Ability to interpret project specifications and technical requirements.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to prepare technical reports and professional correspondence.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to learn and adapt to new software platforms and technologies.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative project environment.

Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Alternatively, a Diploma in Design or a relevant technical field combined with additional industry experience.

Experience

2-3 years of AutoCAD design experience with an Engineering Degree, or
5-6 years of relevant design experience with a Diploma.
