Full-time Work Arrangement: On-siteJob PurposeUpdate and generate black oil and compositional simulation models for short-term and long-term field development planning. Evaluate development schemes through simulation sensitivities, uncertainty and risk assessment, and economics. Translate reservoir studies into operational guidance.
Reservoir Simulation and CharacterizationCoordinate with geoscientists on reservoir characterization and upscaling.
Build full-field simulation models, perform history matching, and generate forecasts.
Quality-check simulation models and history-match scenarios against geological model characteristics.
Characterize reservoir fluids, calibrate Equation of State models, and convert black oil models to compositional models.
Diagnose model convergence and runtime problems.
Integrate pressure and production test results into simulation and reservoir management decisions.
Apply multiphase flow concepts, effective permeability, and relative permeability Development and Recovery PlanningCoordinate with the technical centre on improved and enhanced oil recovery methods, including water injection, immiscible and miscible gas injection, and surfactant and polymer injection.
Assess pressure maintenance and recovery enhancement approaches.
Estimate reserves using probabilistic and deterministic methods, including material balance, decline curve analysis, and simulation sensitivities.
