Overview:Handle procurement of bulk instrumentation, control, Mechanical and electrical materials.The Procurement Engineer is responsible for handling the end-to-end procurement process of bulk instrumentation, control, Mechanical and electrical materials for industrial and construction projects. This role ensures that all materials and equipment are sourced, evaluated, negotiated, and delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications and company standards.Responsibilities:Handle procurement activities for bulk instrumentation, control, Mechanical and electrical materials in line with project requirements and timelines.Review and interpret technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings to ensure proper material selection and supplier compliance.Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors based on capability, quality, and delivery performance.Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and analyze commercial and technical bids.Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best overall value for the company.Coordinate with engineering, project management, and quality teams to resolve technical or delivery issues.Maintain accurate and updated records of purchase orders, supplier documents, and delivery schedules.Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.Prepare procurement status reports and update the project team regularly.Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in the procurement process
