We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Lead Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team for key Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the design, analysis, and execution of civil and structural works for large-scale upstream and downstream facilities.The Lead Civil & Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Design & Analysis:Lead the detailed design, engineering, and analysis of all civil and structural elements for Oil & Gas facilities, including foundations (deep and shallow), steel structures, concrete structures, buildings, roads, drainage systems, and retaining walls. This includes specialized experience in the verification of structural stability and integrity for complex Steel Structures and Pipe Supports.Perform complex structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, Revit) in accordance with international codes (e.g., ASCE, ACI, AISC, Eurocode) and relevant regional standards.Review and approve structural drawings, specifications, material requisitions, and design calculations prepared by the engineering team.Standards & Compliance:Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, international codes, statutory regulations, and particularly with Codes of Practice (COPs) and engineering standards.Prepare and manage design basis documents and technical specifications.Project Execution & Coordination:Provide technical guidance and resolution for all structural issues that arise during the design, procurement, and construction phases of the project.Interface and coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) and the Project Management team.Participate in technical reviews, audits, and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews as necessary.Mentorship & Quality:Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, ensuring the quality and technical integrity of all deliverables.Manage and control the budget, schedule, and quality for the structural engineering scope of work.
